Julia Howell Barber, 95, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Monday, January 4, 2010 at Memorial Manor Nursing Home.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donna Sue Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Sylvania Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 6, 2010 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Ivey Funeral Home.
Mrs. Barber was born July 6, 1914 in Decatur County, GA, the daughter of George Washington Howell and Delcie Jane Gray Howell. She was a retired teacher with the Decatur County School System. Mrs. Barber was a member of the Decatur-Seminole County Retired Educators and the Sylvania United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, R. Lamar Barber.
Survivors include her son, Terry Barber of Bainbridge, GA and several nieces and nephews.
