Ida Howell Smith was born in Lower Keysville township, Nov 14, 1883 and died Sunday, Nov. 17, 1907, at 4 o'clock p.m., being 24 years of age. She was united in marriage to Charles Smith, of Keysville No. 2, Dec. 2, 1901. She leaves her husband and two children, a girl five years old and a baby boy 16 months old, besides a father, five brothers and five sisters to mourn her loss. The funeral services were held at the church Nov. 19, 1907, Rev. Ostrander officiating. The Baptist mission band, of which she was a member, contributed many beautiful flowers in kind remembrance of the esteem in which she was held by them.

Miss Jane Howell took her sister Clara to the hospital at Wichita last Sunday to be treated for appendicitis.


Mrs. Ida Smith died Sunday afternoon after an illness of several days. Ida Howell was born near Rozel, November 13, 1883, and died at her home south of Burdett, Nov. 17, 1907. She was married to Chas. Smith on Dec. 25, 1901, and leaves two small children with her husband, father, sisters and brothers, besides an innumerable host of friends, to mourn her loss. She was a most devoted wife and mother, ever ready with a cheery smile or helpful word. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to the loved ones left behind. The Funeral services were conducted at the church by Rev. Ostrander.
