Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline Skeen Howard were held Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 4 P.M. at the Advent Christian Church with the Rev. M.A. Tidwell, pastor, officiating. Interment was in the Live Oak Cemetery.
Mrs. Howard died in the Suwannee County Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was a lifetime resident of Live Oak and worked at the Suwannee County Hospital since 1960 and was a member of the Advent Christian Church and the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband, Worth Howard, her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. John Wade, Live Oak, a daughter, Mrs. Sybil Johns, Okeechobee; three sons, Lamar W. Howard, Clearwater, Robert S. Howard, Gainesville, and Alvin Leonard Howard, Paramount, California; six sisters, Mrs. Quilla Fletcher, and Mrs. Cecil Wimbley, Oakland Park, Mrs. W.B. Bozeman, St. Petersburg, Mrs. Maude Skeen, and Mrs. Polly Hurst, Live Oak, and Mrs. Ida Skeen, Pompano Beach; three brothers, George Skeen, Highland City, J.W. Skeen, Jasper, and John Skeen, Pompano Beach; and twelve grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Robert Cannon, Johnny Jenkins, Andrew J. Hall, Harry Hall, Kurt Gaskins, and Jesse Mitchell.
Honorary pallbearers were: G.B. Lord, Johnny Smith, C.W. Mallory, L.H. Clayton, Wally Bowden, Douglas Cheney, Oscar Green, nurses from the Suwannee County Hospital and the Florida Highway Patrol.
James B. Daniels Funeral Home of Live Oak was in charge of arrangements.
