Statesboro - Mrs. Doris Davis Howard, 78, died Wednesday evening at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center. The Bulloch County native lived in the Nevils Community for many years before moving to Sumter, SC. Mrs. Howard returned to Bulloch County in 1967 where she remained until her death. She worked in the health care industry for many years and was served as a Pink Lady with the auxiliary of Bulloch Memorial Hospital and East Georgia Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Howard was a member of the Statesboro Church of God.
Surviving are three daughters and a son in law, Millie Givens of Savannah, Jean Givens of Statesboro and Susan and Sidney Ernest of Aiken, SC and a sister and brother in law, Sarah and Bob Overlander of Statesboro. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday July 11th, 2006 at 11:00a.m. in the Family Life Center of the Statesboro Church of God with Pastors Wayne and Carey Swanson officiating.
