Funeral services for Mrs. Anna E. Howard, age 83, of Old Lair Road, Cynthiana, Kentucky, widow of Grant Howard, were held Tuesday afternoon at Beaver Baptist Church by Reverend Wesley Clerk. Burial followed in Beaver Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers selected were Shearle Flora, Jimmy Flora, Eugene Flora, Clarence Flora, Jr., Melvin Henson and Howard Hampton. The body was taken from the Smith-Rees Funeral Home Tuesday to the Beaver Baptist Church.

Mrs. Howard died at 5:50 a.m. Sunday, November 17, 1957, at Harrison Memorial Hospital, in Cynthiana, after an illness of a few hours. She was born in Harrison County, Kentucky, on November 23, 1875, and she was a member of Claysville Christian Church. Anna was the daughter of James and Georgeanna Egnew.

She is survived by: a son, Ruby Howard, of Robertson County; three daughters, Mrs. Clarence Flora, of Harrison County, Mrs. Virgie Hampton, of Cynthiana, and Mrs. Clarence Henson, of Winchester; three brothers, Frank Egnew, of Harrison County, Thomas Egnew, of Pendleton County, and Edward Egnew, of Covington; a sister, Mrs. Harry Routte, of Silver Grove; and 20 grandchildren.
