Mrs. Ida C. DeLong, widow of James DeLong [born Dec. 1845], of near Bowers, died suddenly on Monday evening at 7 o'clock at the age of 70 years, 10 months and 7 days. She was a daughter of Dr. Edward Hottenstein and his wife Sarah, nee Knabb. She was a member of the Christ Reformed DeLong's Church of Bowers. There survive the following children: Mrs. Ira C. Fenstermacher, of Bowers; Mrs. Milton Philips, of Chapman's Quarries; Dr. Francis E. DeLong, of Annandale, Butler county; Mrs. Edgar Fiddler, of Womelsdorf; Mrs. Deborah Baver, of Philadelphia; Dr. Paul J. DeLong, of Allentown, and Raymond P. DeLong, at home. Two sisters, Alice Hottenstein, of Kutztown, and Mrs. W. J. Hersh, of Saugerities, N.Y. and three brothers: Dr. William Hottenstein, Akron, Ohio; Dr. Charles Hottenstein, of Kutztown, and Dr. Peter Hottenstein, Philadelphia and eight grandchildren survive. Funeral will be held from her late home near Bowers on Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, with short services at the house, followed by continued services in the Christ Reformed DeLong's church.
