Agnes P. Fleischman, 89, died Saturday, March 19, 2005, at Greenwood Health and Living Community. She was a resident of Greenwood and a former resident of Fulda.
She was born April 8, 1915, in St. Meinrad. Her parents were Henry and Mary (Feith) Hostetter. She married Carl J. Fleischman on Sept. 28, 1937, at St. Meinrad Catholic Church. He preceded her in death March 3, 1996. Survivors include two daughters, Carlene Ballard of Greenwood and Betty Jo Taylor of Indianapolis; two sisters, Leona Forste of Madeira, Ohio, and Alene Forste of Loveland, Ohio; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by six brothers, Joseph, Bernard, John, Anthony and Robert Hostetter and infant brother George Hostetter; three sisters, Ann Saglfeld and Marie Tuttle and infant sister Catherine Hostetter.
She owned and operated Fleischman's Tavern in Fulda for 41 years.
A service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Main and Jefferson streets in Fulda. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and 7 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Becher Funeral Home, 625 Main St. in Ferdinand. A St. Boniface parish prayer service will be conducted at 6 tonight at the funeral home.
Burial will be at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Fulda.
