She was born April 24, 1923 in Otto, Illinois to Thadd Estes Rodgers & Pansy (Dudley) Hoskins. She married William E. "Bill" Dulaney on June 20, 1942 in Old Monroe, MO. He preceded her in death on August 4, 1999.
She previously worked at Murphy's Paint Store and Park's Paint Store in Flora. Melba was a charter member of the Church of the Nazarene in Flora, the Primary Sunday School Teacher and song leader at the church for over 60 years, and was the official hugger and church grandmother.
She is survived by two daughters: Carol Robinson and JoAnn McKnight; one brother: Stanley Rodgers; three sisters: Faith Pugh, Marilyn Sledge, Carolyn Sehie; four grandchildren & five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter (Frances Rayjean), a brother (Clyde Robert Hoskins), and a sister (June Trago).
Funeral services were held at the Church of the Nazarene in Flora with burial in the Floral Garden of Memories.
Visitation was held at Frank & Bright Funeral Home and until service time at the church.
