John Hosking, a well known citizen of the Town of Greenville, died at his home there, July 16, in his eighty-fifth year. He had been helpless from paralysis for some time and his death was not unexpected.

He was born in Cornwall, England, and came to this country in 18?4. He was a miner and worked for Peter Looper in the Sterling mines and afterwards in the Guymard lead mine. When work was suspended there he bought the Benjamin Corey farm in Greenville, where the rest of his life was spent.

He is survived by his widow and two sons, David R., of Guymard and John R., of Harding, South Dakota.

Mr. Hosking was an industrious , God fearing man. His funeral was held Thursday. Interment is Mount Hope Cemetery.
