Mary made her way to the United States of America in 1956 and became a naturalized citizen in 1967. She was a resident of Fairfield for 50 years. She was employed by Cornwall & Paterson Co. in Bridgeport before retiring after 30 years of service. Mary had an unwavering faith of God and was a member of the United Church of Christ in Bridgeport. She loved to cook and all her grandchildren loved her homemade soup. Mary spent many hours in her garden growing fresh vegetables and flowers of which she generously shared with friends and loved ones, and neighbors.
Mary is survived by her devoted, loving son Richard G. Balogh and his loving wife Laura- Belle Nichols of Fairfield. She is also survived by her grandchildren of whom she treasured, Ryan Balogh, and Joshua Balogh both of Bridgeport, Samantha Balogh of Concord, North Carolina, Cody Nichols of Fairfield, along with her sister Klaria Horvath of Budapest, Hungary and other friends and family that were blessed to know her.
Mary will be forever remembered in our hearts.
A private family service will be held with interment at Mountain Grove Cemetery in Bridgeport. Memorial donations maybe directed to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, 3962 S. Delaware Street Englewood, CO 80110
