Earl (Moose) Horton, 65 passed away after a brief illness on Sept. 21, 2006. He is survived by his wife June of the home, daughter Suzanne Alesna and husband Ted of Bethel Isl. CA; 1 granddaughter, and step-daughter Debra Balsley and husband Glen of Buckley. Sisters June Martenson of Buckley, Alma Benedict and husband Cloyd of Duvall. Brothers Darrel Horton and wife Ann of Overland Park, KS, Eugene Horton and wife Sylvia of Graham, Garry Horton and wife Ellen of Enumclaw and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Dean Horton. Earl liked to hunt and fish, visit with family and friends and go as much as possible in their motor home. Earl was in Company A, 1st Engineer Battalion, 1st Infantry Division (Big Red One) during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Silver Star, Purple Heart and the Army Commendation Medal. A funeral service will be held Wed., Sept 27, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Weeks' Funeral Home in Buckley.
