A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2007, in Mountain Park Church in Lake Oswego for Mary Jane Bowling, who died July 11 of congestive heart failure at age 89.
Mary Horton was born Feb. 12, 1918, in Chicago. She moved in 1949 to Portland, in 1956 to Lake Oswego and lived in Atlanta, Ga., before returning to Lake Oswego in 1976. She was a homemaker and Montessori teacher, as well as founder of Montessori School of Beaverton. In 1942, she married William; he died in 1998.
Survivors include her sons, William and Robert; daughters, Barbara Dunnahoe and Betsy Williamson; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
