Dorethy Mae Grider, 73, of Beloit, WI, died Wednesday, November 4, 2009 in the Don and Marilyn Anderson Hospice, Madison, WI. She was born September 22, 1936 in Polo, IL, the daughter of Fred Lynne and Bernadine Smith Horton. Dorethy married Albert Henry Grider on August 29, 1969 in Oregon, IL. He predeceased her on December 10, 2005. Dorethy was a day care provider. She was very artistic and enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling and doing crosswords. Survivors include her children, Ronald Grider of Bellflower, CA, Annette (Stanley) Trappe of Rockford, IL, Donna Stephens of Janesville, WI, Kathy Brelsford, Joseph Grider, Laurie (Frederick) Stine, and James Grider all of Beloit, WI; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; sisters, Dianna (Kenneth) Baux and Sharon (Ralph)Looney; brother, Robert Horton. She was predeceased by her parents, son, John F. Jacobs and granddaughter, Melissa Kerr-Braya. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 9, 2009 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Pastor Phillip Allen officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, IL. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
