Davis HORTON, 91, who resided two miles southeast of Green Oak, died this morning at the hospital in Jacksonville, Fla., friends here have bee advised. A resident of the Green Oak community all his life, Mr. Horton is survived by a son, Joseph [HORTON], Covington, Ga., and a sister, Mrs. Lola ALLEN, Jackson, Mich. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. William Davis HORTON, 91, Jacksonville, Fla., died Wednesday morning in the Baptist Memorial hospital there. He had been in failing health several years. Mr. Horton was born Feb. 24, 1876, in Rochester, to Levi and Susan COFFING HORTON. A farmer, he had lived in the Green Oak community most of his life and had spent the past six months in Jacksonville. He was a member of the Methodist church in Macy. Surviving are a son, Joseph Levi HORTON, Covington,Ga., one sister, Mrs. Lola ALLEN, Chicago, and three grandchildren. Last rites are pending at the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion cemetery. Friday, February 2, 1968, Last rites for William Davis HORTON, 91, Green Oak community resident who died Wednesday at Jacksonville, Fla., will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home. The Rev. Robert ELLISON will officiate and burial will be in the Mt. Zion cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
