Wife of Howard Perry Case, whom she married on May 19, 1921 at the Prospect Heights Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn, New York by the Rev. E.D. Bailey.
Marriage - Sumner - Horton - Patchogue, October 3 - Miss Alice A. Horton, of Patchogue, was married to Edward Henry Sumner, of Brooklyn, at the residence of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Horton, on Rider avenue, on Sunday evening, at 6:30 o'clock. It was a very pretty home wedding. The Rev. S.V. Robinson, pastor of the Baptist Church here, officiated. The decorations were beautiful, and under the artistic floral bell the betrothed took position, and the nuptial knot was beautifully tied. The bridal party entered the parlor to the music of Mendelssohn's wedding march. The bride's dress was of lavender colored silk and her veil exquisite. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations. The Misses Edith Paine and Helen Horton, a sister of the bride, were the bridesmaids. They were tastefully dressed in white and carried bouquets of blush roses. The bride was given away by her father. Roy Horton, the brother of the bride, was the best man. The invitations were limited to the immediate relatives of the families of the bride and groom. The presents were plentiful, costly, useful and ornamental. After the marriage, a dainty wedding supper was served. Amidst bountiful showers of rice and confetti at the house and at the railroad station, and renewed joyous congratulations of their relatives the happy pair left on the 9:48 train Sunday night on a short wedding trip. The groom is engaged in business in Brooklyn, and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Henry Sumner will reside there.
