Cleve Horton, 72, Route 2, a retired farmer, died Sunday in St. John's Hospital. He had been in ill health about 18 months.
He is survived by his wife, Telia; a daughter, Mrs. Alta Dolby, state of California; a son, Claude, Route 2; four sisters, Mrs. Rendy Dunn and Mrs. Lennie Joy, both of Rogersville, and Mrs. Herman Price and Mrs. Effie Smith, both state of California; three brothers, Roy and Mace, both of Springfield, and Virgil, Rogersville; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Claude Hogan at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Klingner Chapel. Burial will be in the Danforth Cemetery. (The Springfield News-Leader, Springfield, Missouri, Monday, January 02, 1961, page 29)
