Mrs. Emma Hurst Bender, seventy-five, wife of Benjamin R. Bender, Lancaster RD3, died of complications at her home at 8:45 a.m. yesterday. She was a member of the Salunga Mennonite church. Besides her husband, she is survived by the following children: Lillie wife of Aaron Hess, New Holland; B. Roy, of Mount Joy, and Charles H., of Landisville; nine grandchildren and a brother, Aaron Hurst, East Petersburg. (Lancaster New Era - Jul 10, 1936)
