Hilda Horrocks Bolin - Mrs. Bolin, 89, of Charlotte, NC died July 24, 2009 at Presbyterian Hospital Hospice and Palliative Care Unit. She was born on May 16, 1920 in Lansing, WV, daughter of Ruby and Charles Horrocks. Hilda was with Stanley Home Care Products for over forty years.
Mrs. Bolin is survived by her sisters, Kay Horrocks Hall and husband George Hall of Kings Mountain, NC, and Debra Horrocks Church and husband Thomas Church of Charlotte, NC; niece, Vonda Covington and husband Jim Covington; nephew Blair Hall and wife Jill and their boys, Casey and Cameron; sister-in-law Dot Hayes and brother-in-law Thad Bolin both of Gastonia; and numerous nieces and nephews. We would like to note, our great appreciation to Hilda's dear friend Margaret Greer, who cared for her in our time of need.
Her husband John L. Bolin preceded Hilda in death September 11, 2005 and brother, Billy and sister, Gladys.
A memorial service will be held Sunday September 27, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at McEwen Funeral Service Charlotte Chapel, 5716 Monroe Rd., Charlotte, NC 28212.
