She was born September 5, 1926 in Barnesville, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Thomas Horne and the late Mrs. Annie Jo Broom Horne and the granddaughter of the late Alva and Margaret Broom. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was an amazing cook and talented seamstress. She was devoted to her family and was a beloved mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents and the grandparents that raised her, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Harold Cosby on October 1, 2006; and her son, Donald Cosby and sister, Barbara Feltman.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Beverly Jo Cosby of Douglasville and Sally Kay Cosby Smith and her husband, Kevin Smith of Villa Rica; her sons, Dan Thomas Cosby and James R. Cosby both of Douglasville; six grandchildren, Rita Smith, Glenn Cosby, Natalie Hamlin, Chai Cosby, Eli Eric Cosby and Jennifer Rose Mekhoukh; four great-grandchildren, Christine Smith, Alan Smith, Sadie Cosby, and Patrick Smith.
