Lola Horne Bridges SYLVESTER-- Mrs. Lola Horne Bridges, 99, of Sylvester died Saturday, July 30, 2011 at her residence. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 1, 2011 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Barker and Mr. John Evans officiating. Mrs. Bridges was born Oct 12, 1911 in Norman Park, to the late James and Martha Davis Horne. She had lived in Worth County all of her life and was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and making clothes for her children. She loved her flowers and putting together jigsaw puzzles. Mrs. Bridges was of the Baptist faith and taught herself to play the piano and organ at age twelve.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bridges was preceded in death by her husbands, Ray William Paulk on June 12, 1958 and Jim Bridges on July 14, 1984, two sons, Billy Paulk and Milford Paulk, one grandson and one great grandson. The family will received friends on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until funeral hour at Banks Funeral Home Chapel.
