PAMPA - Helen Ann Hornback Cook, 60, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 1998.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors' Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Harold Hook, pastor of Hobart Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Edith Ford Cemetery in Canadian.
Mrs. Cook was born in Canadian and had been a Pampa resident since 1954. She was a member of Hobart Baptist Church and the Democratic Club. She was the election judge for Precinct 2 in Pampa. She had been active with Boy Scouts for 29 years and a life member of the Parent-Teachers Association where she was past president at B.M. Baker Elementary.
She married Willie J. "Bill" Cook in 1954 at Clovis, N.M.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Debbie Darby of Pampa; two sons, Johnnie Cook of Pampa and Carl Cook of Abilene; two stepsons, Bill Cook of Eureka, Calif., and Donnie Jones of Big Spring; two sisters, Darlene Eads of Pampa and Rose Wisdom of Laverne, Okla.; two brothers, Joe Hornback of Lone Grove, Okla., and Carl Hornback Jr. of Canadian; five grandchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren; and three great-granddaughters.
The family requests memorials be to Hospice of the Panhandle, P.O. Box 2795, Pampa, Texas, 79066-2782, or to a favorite charity.
