Ann T. Barone, 78, of Heckscherville, died Monday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

Born in Heckscherville, Aug. 18, 1932, she was a daughter of the late William and Lucy Campion Horan.

She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, Minersville, and a former member of St. Kieran Roman Catholic Church, where she was a devoted parishioner.

She was the wife of Frank A. Barone, with whom she celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on Dec. 29, 2010.

Ann was preceded in death by a sister, Lucy Rowan, on Oct. 23, 2010; a brother, Joseph T. Horan; and a niece, Michelle Horan Potlunas.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three daughters, Barbara Barone, Heckscherville, Donna, wife of Jeff Lang, West West Terrace, and Rita, wife of Paul Pfeiffenberger, Allentown; a son, Frank Barone, husband of Laurie, Mar Lin; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Horan, Heckscherville; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Lang Cogan, wife of Mike Cogan, Lake Wynonah, Amanda Pfeiffenberger, Allentown, Mary Beth Lang, West West Terrace, Tony Barone, Mar Lin, Paul Pfeiffenberger, Allentown, Kimberly Barone, Mar Lin, and Alex Pfeiffenberger; nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ebling Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona, and from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, Minersville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Adam C. Sedor and Ann's cousin, the Rev. Joseph Campion, as the celebrants. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Pottsville. Ebling Stabingas Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. Condolences to the family can be made at www.gsesfuneralhomes.com.
