Albert Earl Hopper, 57, of 140 West Mount Drive, Kittanning, died Wednesday, March 23, 1983, at 12:10 p.m. at the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient for the past 12 days.
Born June 18, 1925, in Templeton, he was the son of Ralph A. and Effie (Skinner) Hopper.
He lived his entire life in the area. he was employed for 37 years at the Eljer Plumbingware Division of the Wallace Murray Corporation. He was a supervisor and a design engineer.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Ford City. He was also a member of the Elks Lodge No. 203 in Kittanning, where he served as a past exalted Ruler in 1970. He was the past district deputy Grand Exalted Ruler serving the West Central District of PA. He belonged to Masonic Lodge 244 and the Caravan No. 22 of Kittanning, the Coudersport Consistory and the Syria Shrine of Pittsburgh.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Helen (Martin) Hopper; one daughter, Mrs. Timothy (Kathryn) McCafferty of Indiana RD2; one brother, Nealan Hopper; and one sister, Mrs. Robert (Leone) Reedy of Templeton.
Funeral services will be held at Bauer Funeral Home, Kittanning on Saturday, March 26, 1983 at 11 a.m. with his pastor, Rev. John Smaligo and the Rev. Samuel Johns officiating. Entombment will follow in Lawn Haven Mausoleum.
