Beatrice E. (Hopkins) Carter, 93, of Middleboro, died on December 3, 2010 in her home following a period of declining health.
She was born in Wareham, the daughter of the late Elmer L. and Sarah (Perry) Hopkins, attending schools in Wareham and Middleboro.
A homemaker, Mrs. Carter worked at The Walker Company for several years and later, Synthetic Yarns in East Taunton for many years prior to her retirement.
She was the wife of the late Paul M. Carter.
Family members include one son: Robert P. Carter and his wife, Diane of Middleboro; 2 daughters: Joan M. Silva and her husband, Joseph of Middleboro, Joyce E. Mullens and her late husband, James R. Mullens of Middleboro; 2 brothers: Robert L. Hopkins and his wife, Naomi of Middleboro, Kenneth Hopkins and his wife, Evelyn of Framingham; 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Calling hours on Sunday, (Dec. 12, 2010) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro.
Funeral services on Monday (Dec. 13, 2010) at 10 a.m. in the O'Neill Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in the Cemetery At The Green, Middleboro.
