"Prayer service for Mrs. Viola E. (Hopkins)Curtis, 79, who died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Arthur W. Lowell, 31 Pocasset Avenue, will be held Friday at 12:30 p.m. at the daughter's home and will be folowed by services at the Hopkins Mills Union Chapel, Foster at 2:30 o'clock. Interment will be in the Hopkins Mills Cemetery. Rev. Elden G. Bucklin of Chepachet will officiate. Mrs. Curtis was born in Foster and had resided in Providence only during the past three years. Besides her daughter survivors include four other children, John Curtis of Attleboro, Ethel C. Hopkins of Foster and Earlon and Ernest Curtis of Providence. She was a member of Ponegansett Grange and a charter member of the Ladies' Aid Society of Hopkins Mills." "The funeral of Mrs. Viola Curtis, widow of Philip Curtis, was held in Hopkins Mill chapel. The bearers were Leslie Lowell, Howard Curtis and Carl Angell of Providence, Charles Curtis of Attleboro, Mass, Merle Curtis of Foster, and Ernest Hopkins of Scituate, all grandsons of Mrs. Curtis."
