Mrs. Mildred Margaret Brannon, 59, of 526 N. 15th St., Murphysboro, died Tuesday at Doctor's Hospital in Carbondale, after a long illness.
Mrs. Brannon was born in Oraville, Sept. 11, 1910, the daughter of Frank and Dolly Thompson Hoover.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Murphysboro. Mrs. Brannon was also a member of the Murphysboro Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. Mrs. Brannon was a beautician.
She was married to Ray Carlock in 1925. He died in 1939. On Oct. 29, 1939, she was married to Gilbert Brannon in Crown Point, Ind. He was killed in an auto accident March 9, 1950.
Survivors include sons, James Carlock and Hobert Carlock, both of Murphysboro; a sister, Mrs. Leona Rosales of Mexico City, Mexico; and one grandchild.
A son and two sisters preceded her in death.
