LEWISTOWN - Emma M. Hoover, 87, a resident of Beverly Healthcare-William Penn, formerly of North Walnut Street, Lewistown, died at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, 1999, at the nursing home.
Born March 3, 1912, in Mifflinburg, she was a daughter of the late James A. and Evangeline (Edalman) Blair. Her first husband, Albert Herbster, died in 1957. Her second husband, George C. Hoover, whom she married in 1968, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Jane Custer, Seattle, Wash., and Barry A. Herbster, Cheverly, Md.; step-children, Kirk Hoover, and Kay Hayes, both of San Francisco, Calif.; a brother, Arthur Blair, Ephrata; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
She was a housewife and had worked for nine years in the Lewistown Hospital Pharmacy.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Lewistown, and the Mifflin County Housing Authority.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. David W. Schmuck officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
There will be no public viewing.
