Joseph Warren Hoopes, 83, a life long resident of Warwick, died unexpectedly Thursday afternoon at his home on Hoopes Road.
He was a machinist and had been employed by the shipyard, Fort Eustis and Langley Air Force Base until his retirement about 1947.
He was a member of the Warwick River Mennonite Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p. m. Saturday at the Warwick River Mennonite Church by Bishop Truman H. Brunk. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Alfred Brennerman, Frank Alderfer, Mark Hertzler, Ruben Carper, Amos Chenk and Sylvanus Moyer.
