Second Spouse: William Jensen married about 1891
Johanna or other wise known as Hannah, may also be known as Mary Hannah was a twin sister of Ane Elizabeth Nielsen; daughter of Jens Christian Nielsen and Ane Margretha Hansen.
Hannah's parents: "When the Mormon missionaries came to their home, they readily accepted the gospel and were baptized about 1858 or 1859. They began to make plans at once to come to America, by disposing of all their property. This didn't amount to enough money, so the father joined the army of Denmark, which enabled him to send his wife and children to America. The mother and children walked across the plains and arrived in Logan, Utah in the fall of 1865. When the father joined them a year later, they moved to Weston, Idaho and lived there for about fifteen years. Then they purchased a ranch in Gentile Valley, on the west side of Bear River, which seemed ideal for supporting their cattle. There were only four or five other families in the valley when they arrived to make their home."
This Gentile Valley's name was changed in 1910 to Gem Valley, which is in the area of Grace, Idaho. Her parents are buried in Cleveland.
She married Warner Hoopes as a second wife and they had the following children:
Jonathan Nielsen Hoopes b. 1868 d. 1952
