ALLISON, MAGGIE P. HOOKS - age 85, of Knoxville passed away early Sunday morning, December 15, 2013. Maggie was a member of Centerview Baptist Church. She retired from Lakeshore Mental Health Institute after 30 years of service. Maggie loved her church, singing, her farm and her farm animals.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Allison; son, Jerry W. Allison; parents, Charlie and Myrtle Dagley Hooks; special sisters-in-law, Othella Hill and Iva Johnson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Samuel C. and Myrtie Bryant Allison; two brothers and a sister.
Maggie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Larry and Suzi Allison; grandchildren, Aubree and Ryan Allison, Matthew Cardwell, David Herron, Amber Clabough, Samuel and Charles Allison, Chris and Jean Cantley, Jacqueline Houser; 2 great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Ida and Virgil Bryant; brothers, Carl Hooks and Farrell Hooks; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
The family will receive friends 5:00 to 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday at Centerview Baptist Church in Concord followed by funeral services at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. George Seay and Rev. Dennis Johnson officiating. Family and friends will gather at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at Stoney Point Cemetery for graveside services. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
