Juanita Faye McDonnell Adams
CACHE - Funeral for Juanita Faye McDonnell Adams, 86, Cache, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Comanche Nation Funeral Home Chapel, Lawton, with the Rev. Glen T. Hood officiating.
Mrs. Adams died Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009, in Lawton.
Burial will be in Burkburnett Cemetery.
She was born Aug. 12, 1923, in Lawton, to John Wesley Hood and Macil Esther Davis. She graduated from Cache High School. She and her husband, "Huck" McDonnell, owned and operated the Palace Café in Burkburnett for 19 years. After her husband died, she married Cecil Adams in Lawton. She was a member of Eastern Star, Junior Study Club and the Square Dance Club.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Lafaye and Charles Darter, Pottsboro, Texas; a brother, Glen T. Hood, Jenks; a sister, Barbara Hood Polley, Cache; two grandsons and their wives: Douglas and Marilynn, Dallas; and Ed and Stephanie, Trophy Club, Texas; three great-grandchildren: Mackenzie, Chase and Grace; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, "Huck"; her second husband, Cecil Adams; three sons: Claude Wesley McDonnell, Paul Larry Hood and Clifford Carl Hood; two brothers: Tommie Hood and Johnnie Hood; and two sisters: Myrtle Hood Hess and Marie Hood Barfield.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
