Elma E. Ballard died at 6:05 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 1983, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 72, a native of Holden and resident of Denham Springs.
Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, until religious services, conducted by the Rev. B.L. Ritchey and the Rev. Ray Johnson. Burial in Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery.
Survived by her husband, Willie Oscar Ballard, Denham Springs; seven daughters, Mrs. Pete (Ernestine) Lejeune, Mrs. Leo (Annie Mae) Duncan, Mrs. Tom (Stella) Portier, Beverly Ballard, Mrs. Larry (Ruth) McLin, and Mrs. Morris Ray (Ouida) Bennett, all of Denham Springs, and Mrs. Audrey Kirkland, Walker; six sons, Teddy Ray Ballard, Baton Rouge, Oscar Lee, Paul Wayne, Robert Michael, Joseph
Oscar and Raymond Boyd Ballard, Sr., all of Denham Springs; two sisters, Lenora Hoyt, Albany, and Inez Summerall, Walker; three brothers, Johnny Hood, Port Vincent, Arthur and L.D. Hood, both of Denham Springs; a half-brother, Ed Crowder, Holden; 44 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ of Denham Springs.
