MARLENE "MOLLIE" HOMAN
Marlene "Mollie" Homan, 73, of Upper Deerfield Township, died in the South Jersey Hospice Care Unit-Bridgeton, on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010. She had been in failing health for the past 2 1/2 years.
The wife of Wayne T. Homan, she was born in Bridgeton and was the daughter of the late Furman Corson and Dorothy Bennett Corson. She had lived in Upper Deerfield Township for six years and prior to that had been a resident of Hopewell Township for 36 years.
She had previously owned and operated Mollie's Day Care at her home in Hopewell Township.
Marlene was a member of West Park United Methodist Church in Hopewell Township and was a 1955 graduate of Bridgeton High School. She enjoyed crafts, scrap booking, traveling, sports, NASCAR and spoiling her family.
Survivors include one daughter, Terri (James) Ott, Upper Deerfield Township; one son, Gary (Bonnie) Homan, Upper Deerfield Township; a sister, Doris Worrell, Florida; a brother, Douglas Corson, California; seven grandchildren, Barbara (Steve) Wilchensky, Upper Deerfield Township, Karen Capelli and her fiance, Keith Stoms, Upper Deerfield Township, Jacob Ott, Upper Deerfield Twp., Zach Ott, Upper Deerfield Township, Corey Gaburo, Upper Deerfield Township, Jamie Ott, Upper Deerfield Township and Chad (Michelle) Ott, Upper Deerfield Township; and six great-grandchildren, Tyler White, Emily Wilchendky, Stephen Wilchensky, Cody Capelli, Gianna Capelli and Emma Ott.
Funeral services will be held in the Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township, on Monday morning, Oct. 25, at 11 o'clock. Burial will be in Overlook Cemetery, Bridgeton. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Monday morning between 10 and 11 o'clock.
