NOTE: Using her stated age at time of death on her headstone, her birth date would be April 30, 1822. However, birth records from Vermont state she was actually born May 5th. Also, an index has her middle name as Hasford, which could just be a mistake on the transcriber's part. The "a" and "o" letters are very similar in the image.

----------

Married Dr. Orange B. Heaton on November 5, 1844 in Thetford, Orange County, Vermont.

Sister of Olivia Jeanette (Holton) Conkling

~~~~~~
Sarah is a descendant of passengers of the Mayflower.
I found this information from a newspaper article stating Sarah's niece (daughter of Sarah's sister, Olivia), Mrs. Grace Heaton Leaverton had been elected as a member of the Society of Mayflower descendants. It stated her family lineage which is shared by Sarah. Here's is Sarah's connection as it follows the same as Grace's mother:
Stephen Hopkins and his daughter, Constance, were both passengers of the Mayflower.
Constance married Nicholas Snow.
Their daughter, Sarah Snow, married William Walker.
Their son, Jabez Walker, married Elizabeth Taylor.
Their son, Richard Walker, married Joanna Tomlin.
Their son, Matthew Walker, married Milly Bowen.
Their daughter, Nancy Walker, married Col. Jonathan Holton.
Their son, George Washington Holton, married Sarah Hosford.
And George and Sarah were the parents of Sarah and Olivia Holton.
