Graveside service for Zelma Christine Burns, 91, of Decatur will be Monday, Aug. 23, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery, with Roselawn Funeral Home directing and the Rev. Fred Green officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Burns died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at Summerford Nursing Home in Falkville. She was born April 14, 1913, in Morgan County to William Harley Holt and Sarah Novelia Roberts Holt. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Walden Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 70 years, James Albert Burns of Falkville; two daughters, Sara Jane James and husband Billy Ray, and Mary Joyce Steenson and husband James, all of Decatur; two granddaughters, Sara Denise Carden and husband Todd of Decatur, and Christie L. Tapscott and husband Ken of Danville; and three great-grandchildren, Bailey Tapscott of Danville, and Mason Carden and Ali Christine Carden, both of Decatur.
