Willa M. Albert, age 95, of Columbus, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2012 at Kobacker House. She was born in Erin, Tennessee on December 31, 1916 to the late Rice and Ethel (Powers) Holmes.
Willa was a longtime member of Glenwood United Methodist Church. She was very active with the PTA at West Mound, Hilltonia, and West High Schools and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Clifford who passed away in 2000; son, John Pruitt;
siblings, Ida (Foy) Morrison and Pat (Sid) Henry.
Survivors include
her daughters, Jackie (Susan Snyder) Albert and Judy (Don) Ottney;
grandchildren, Andy (Julie) Ottney, Alex Ottney, Sean (Ronni) Pruitt, and Michelle (Stacy) Turner;
great grandsons, Zachary and Quentin Pruitt;
sisters, Eleanor (Ray) Barnes and Betty (J.R.) Mosley;
many nieces and nephews.
