SUNSET and STONINGTON – Barbara Irene (Holmes) Bridges died Monday, Aug. 22, 2011, at a Blue Hill hospital. She was born Jan. 16, 1924, on Swan's Island, the daughter of William and Ruby (Stinson) Holmes.
Married to Melvin C. Bridges in 1940, the couple raised their four children, Cynthia, Connie, Doreen and Dick, in their Stonington home.
Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Oceanville.
