Katie Lee Holmes, 94, of Eva, died Sunday, March 12, 2006, at her residence, was born Jan. 26, 1912, to A.Z. Williams and Annie Wallace Williams. Her parents, and two brothers, Hulen Williams and Robert Williams, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband of 72 years, Elvin Holmes; one daughter, Linda (Hollis) Alexander; one son, Darrell (Pat) Holmes; sister, Averine (Lowell) Grimmett; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and six great great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Barry Holmes, Forrest Holmes, Tim Alexander, Gary Logan, Nick Hill and Coty Tapscott.
