POQUOSON - Mrs. Alice Pearl Holloway Firth, 76, died on Thursday, May 4, 2000.
She was a lifelong Poquoson resident. She was a psychiatric aide at Eastern State Hospital, Williamsburg, retiring after 25 years of service. She was a member of the Methodist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David Willis Holloway Sr. and Sarah Margaret Holloway; her husband, John Benton Firth; daughter, Lucinda Firth Gorde; granddaughter, Tammy Rollins Hicks; sisters, Nora Belle Sarkisian and Mary Lanie Hogge; and brothers, Norman Holloway and Robert Holloway.
She is survived by one grandchild, Alicia Rollins Allen, and her husband, Jake; six great- grandchildren, Timmy Hicks, Kristi Allen, Josh Stephenson, Amanda Allen, Stephen Hicks and Jaime Stephenson; three brothers, Ernest Holloway, David Holloway Jr. and Sinclair Holloway; one sister, Margaret Ann Holloway Firth; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home by the Rev. Bill Holloway. Burial will be at Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home and at other times at 11A Floyd Ave., Poquoson.
