Robert W. Hollingsworth, 91
ZANESVILLE - Robert W. Hollingsworth, 91, of Zanesville, died at 6:27 a.m. Friday, Oct. 20, 2006, at Genesis Good Samaritan critical care unit, after a lengthy illness.
He was born Sunday, Jan. 10, 1915, in Zanesville, the son of William and Lillian Oshe Hollingsworth. He was married to Helen Ralls Hollingsworth and was Catholic by faith. Robert was a graduate of The Ohio State University, a member of the Pi Gamma Epsilon fraternity and was a football manager at Ohio State. He was also a member of the Zanesville Country Club and had served as district manager of City Loan Financial Services for 42 years. The Hollingsworth family was pioneers of the Zanesville area settling in 1805.
Robert is survived by a daughter, Julie (Roderick) Miller of Amelia Island, Fla.; and a granddaughter, Adrienne Ralls Miller of Balboa Island, Calif.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, who died June 8, 1986; and a brother, Donald J. Hollingsworth.
No calling hours will be observed.
Graveside services will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006, at the Memorial Park Cemetery. Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Ave. is in charge of arrangements.
