Mrs. Cora Ethel Adams, 67, of Cedar Bluff, Va., died Tuesday in a Richlands, Va.,
hospital after a long illness.
Born in St. Paul. Va., she was a daughter of the late Wade and Ida Kamey Holley. She had
made her home in the Cedar Bluff area for the past 30 years
and was a member of the Baptist Valley Church of God,
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. Helen Huddleston.
Survivors include her husband. George H. Adams; four daughters. Mrs. Harry
(Phyllis) Gist of Santa Monica. Calif., Mrs. Danny (Marie) Broyles of Erwin, Tenn, Mrs.
William (Virginia) Littlejohn of Shamrock. Tex., and Mrs. Roy (Betty) Bowling of Hyattsville,
Md.; four sons. George H. Adams Jr., of Baltimore, Md., Jack Adams of Norwalk, Calif.,
Wade Adams and David Adams of Cedar Bluff, one sister, Mrs.
Roy (Pearl) Vest of Rock; two half-sisters, Mrs. Roy (Mabel) Phillips of Dante, Va. and Mrs.
Terry (Geneva) Caldwell of Hammond, Ind.; four half-brothers, Rev. Cecil Ramey of
Amonate. Va., Clarence Kamey of Butte. Mont., Deward Ramey of Bossier, La., James
Ramey of Stockholm, N. J.; 20 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. at the Baptist Valley Church of
God with Rev. Clarence Fink and Rev. H. G. Kiser officiating.
Burial will follow in Temple Hill Cemetery at St. Paul
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call
at Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands today after 4 pm
The body will then be taken to the residence, where friends may call Thursday after 4 p.m.
and at the church one-hour prior to services.
