Alma Jean Baesler, 90, widow of Fred S. Baesler, died Friday, April 4, 2014. Born in Clark County, KY, she was a daughter of the late David and Elsie (Lee) Holladay. She was retired from the Fayette Public County Schools and a member of the Church at Athens and former member of Athens Christian Church. Survivors are two sons, David (Jaye) Baesler, Lexington, and Fred Baesler, Winchester; two daughters, Phyllis (Jerry) Welch, Lexington, and Vivian Turner, Nicholasville; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lillian Black, Richmond, and Loraine Hale, Winchester. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. Burial will be in Athens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Drive, Lexington, KY 40504 or the Sanders-Brown Center on Aging, 800 South Limestone, 101 Sanders-Brown Building, Lexington, KY 40536-0230.
