Mildred M. Bailey, 81, died at 2:08 a.m. December 4, 2010, at her residence. She was born May 3, 1929, in Salyersville, Kentucky, to Luther and Dora Bailey Holiday, who preceded her in death. On March 31, 1951, in Ionia, Michigan, she married Adam Bailey, who died in April 1977. Mrs. Bailey took care of a farm and also was a volunteer at the elderly day care in Lima for many years. Survivors include a son, Adam Ray (Julie) Bailey, of Mason, Michigan; a daughter, Brenda Bailey, of Lima, Ohio; a granddaughter, Bethanne Bailey, of Mason, Michigan; a grandson, Eric Bailey, of Mason, Michigan; six brothers; a beloved dog, Boscoe; and a special friend and caregiver, Roger Triplett. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at Koops Funeral Home, 935 4th Ave., Lake Odessa, Michigan.
