Dr. Gary Holdiness, 54, of Kosciusko, MS passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012 in Attala County.
A candlelight ceremony will be held at 8:00 pm Monday, May 7, 2012 at Redbud Springs Park in Kosciusko. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2012 from 11 am to 4 pm at First Presbyterian Church with services following at 5 pm. There will be a private committal service held at 6:30 pm at Salem Cemetery in Kosciusko, MS.
Dr. Holdiness was a member of First Presbyterian Church, he graduated from Ole Miss in Oxford, MS and UMC in Jackson, MS and did his residency at Selma Medical Center in Selma, AL. He was in the Air National Guard and was an avid cyclist.
He is preceded in death by son Matthew Holdiness and father Hubert Holdiness. He is survived by wife Donna Holdiness; son Dr. Samuel Holdiness and wife Amber of Greenville, SC; mother Nettie Holdiness of Kosciusko; brothers Charles Holdiness of San Antonio, TX and Hugh Lee Myers of GA; two grandchildren Morgan and Matthew Allen (on the way).
Dr. Edward Hartman will officiate.
