Dorthy F. Holden-Cottles died Friday,
June 18, 2010. Funeral services will be
at 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 21, 2010, at
Elkins East Chapel with Brother Audie
Bogus officiating. Burial will follow in the
Bluewater Cemetery. The family will
receive friends from 6-9 p.m. today at
the Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cottles was preceded in death by
her parents, Price and Magaleen Holden;
grandson, Christopher Hovater;
great-granddaughter,
Baileigh Faith Campbell.

Mrs Cottles was a 1954 graduate of
Lexington High School. During the time
of her illness, she enjoyed visits and
phone calls from her many treasured
friends, and her daily Bible studies were
very comforting to her. She was a member
of Springfield First Baptist Church. Her
favorite thing to do, was to love people.

Mrs. Cottles is survived by her husband
of 55 years, Gayther Cottles;
daughters, Debbie Hovater, Hampstead, N.J.
and Sandy Campbell and husband, Steve of
Killen, Alabama;

grandchildren, Jonathan Campbell and wife,
Tabrina,
Justin Campbell, Amber Hovater and
Jordan Hovater;

great-grandchildren, Destiny Campbell and
Isiah Campbell.

The family extends special thanks to the
nurses in the CCU and ECM Hospital and to
Dr. Felix Morris, who spent much time
explaining the details of Mother's condition.

Pallbeares will be Jonathan Campbell,
Justin Campbell, Waylon Cottles, Roy Cottles.
and Phillip Cottles.

Elkins East Chapel is assisting the family.
