Beth Hansen Holbrook, 73, of Soda Springs, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 19, at the Caribou Memorial Hospital. She was born October 17, 1922 at Hatch, the daughter of Charles Glen and Rachael Higginson Hansen.
She married Joseph L. Holbrook, April 3, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She had lived at Central for 12 years; in Boise through high school; Provo, Utah, while attending BYU; Chesterfield; and Soda Springs since 1972.
She received a teaching certificate from BYU. She taught in Bancroft schools for a year. She retired after 20 years as secretary at J.R. Simplot company. She was a member of the Soda Springs LDS 4th Ward. She had served in the Young Women's program.
She is survived by her husband, Joe; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph C. and Eldene Holbrook, Trophy Club, Texas; three grandchildren; four brothers, and three sisters, Vear Hansen, Rathdrum, Dean Hansen,Parma, Norman Hansen, Homedale, Donnetta DeVoe, Ketchum, Sue Alder, Albuquerque, New Mexico and Iris Smith, Nampa, Idaho.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, Dec. 23 at 12 Noon in Soda Spring, Idaho.
Burial was in the Chesterfield Cemetery. Services were under the direction of the Allen-Sims Funeral Home.
