Jack Melvin Hogg, Sr., 82 years old, passed away peacefully at home on August 19, 2010 following a long illness. He was born in Kinsley, KS, April 27, 1928 to Guy and Bessie Hogg. He moved to Seattle, WA as a young man and lived the rest of his life in the state of Washington.
Jack had two loves in his life. On July 1, 1948 he married Joan (Nopp) Hogg and they had a wonderful marriage of 52 years until Joan was taken away all too suddenly. Joan and Jack were blessed with five children: Susan, Jack Jr., Mike, Linda, and John.
For the last 3 1/2 years Jack shared his time with his devoted partner, Audrey Maederer. They were joined in a Service of Blessing and Commitment on April 14, 2007.
Jack is survived by Audrey and his children, Jack (Denise) Hogg, Jr., Mike (Barbara) Hogg, all of Kennewick, Linda (Wade) Spence of Benton City, and John (Karin) Hogg of Kennewick; grandchildren, Megan Hogg, Aaron (Christine) Spence, Joshua Hogg, Cherisa Spence, Curtis Hogg, Tyler (Crystal) Hogg, Brett Hogg, Sierra Hogg; and great-grandson, Alex Hogg.
Jack's memorial service will be 3:00 p.m., Sun., Sept. 5th at Zion Lutheran Church, Fourth and Garfield, Camas, WA.
