|Birth: ||Oct. 21, 1952|
McALLEN TEXAS - Allan Hoffmann was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin October 21, 1952. He was a Texas resident for 44 years, and he always said he came to our winters as fast as he could. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who loved our Lord with all his heart. As dedicated Christian, he was a member of the United Methodist Church all of his life. After graduating from Midwestern State University Cum Laude, he then went on to Texas Tech Law School to graduate Suma Cum Laude.
He started out his career as an assistant district attorney in Plainview, Texas and then went on to work for the Texas Court of Appeals in Houston. From there he was a part of Kirklin, Boudreaux and Joseph law firm. His illustrious career culminated as an Assistant US Attorney, spending twenty-five years working tirelessly to try and exceed standards.
Allan enjoyed collecting a broad range of unique items, from Roman coins to meteorite slices. He also accomplished overcoming a debilitating childhood illness to achieve top physical condition running three miles every other day in his late fifties. It is no stretch to say that Allan dedicated himself to his physical fitness. You might have seen him going down tenth street in his suit and grey mustang, enjoying the air and sunshine. Though he will be sorely missed, "…Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live." John 11.25-26.
Memorial service was on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Kreidler Funeral Home on North 10th Street.
