Mrs. J. E. White Dies At Burkett
Mr.s James E. White, 66 a member of the Soldier's Home, died at the Burkett hospital at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, following a ;ingering illness of Bright's disease. A resident of Nebraska for fifty years, Mrs. White had lived in Hall County for twenty-seven years, coming here in 1902 with her husband and children.
Flora Ellen Hoffman was born at Hillsboro, Highland County, Ohio on August 19, 1862. In 1878 she came to Nebraska with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Hoffman, who located near Union. On August 18, 1880, she was united in marriage with George S. Bailey, to which union ten children were born, three of whom have preceded her in death. Her husband passed away in 1925. On July 5, 1926, she was married to James E. White, who together with the following children survive her: Luella Ketch, Nehawka, Neb.; Eva Heebner, Weeping Water; Stella Hessel, Anna Rathbun, Edith Jones and Elizabeth Wicker, all of Grand Island; and George R. Bailey of Pueblo, Colo, as also 29 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held from the Geddes funeral home at 2 p.m. Tuesday, and from the Trinity M. E. church at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. P. M. Hillman officiating. Burial will be in the Grand Island cemetery. Members of the Rebekah lodge will have charge of the service at the grave.

Funeral services for Mrs. James E. White were held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Trinity M. E. church, preceded by a brief service for the relatives at the Geddes funeral home at 2 o'clock, Rev. P. M. Hillman officiated. Members of the Rebekah lodge attended the services in a body and conducted the lodge rituals at the grave, burial being in the Grand Island cemetery. Six Rebekahs, the Mesdames Gus Neumann, Alva Moore, Frank Glines, O. C. Larson, J. H. Schroeder and Wm. Shwartz served as pallbearers.
