Catherine Stubenrauch Hoffman was born May 6, 1832 and died July 25, 1916. She was married to Edward Hoffman and to them were born four children, three sons and one daughter, Samuel, Edward, Edina and Ferdinand. Edina and Edward preceded her a number of years ago. Her husband preceded her fourteen years ago. One brother, Peter Stubenrauch of Streator, Ill., survives her.
Deceased will be remembered as one who for years spent much of her time ministering to the sick. Altho without the technical training of a graduate nurse, her ability to adapt herself to all sorts of conditions and to render acceptable service, won for her the gratitude and appreciation of the community.
Funeral services were conducted at the home of Mr. Edw. Stark by Rev. A. E. Randell, on Thursday, July 27, after which the body was laid to rest in the Naperville cemetery.
